Learn to plaster in the Midi-Pyrenees with Learn to Plaster in France

From August this year users of Guide2MidiPyrenees will be able to attend 5 day Plastering training courses in a stunning new Midi-Pyrenees location.

The courses, led in English, teach how to create professional quality results by using only materials available commonly in France and throughout Europe.  Set in the grounds of the former chateau of the Marquis de Narbonne-Lara in the French Pyrenees, attendees are promised intensive learning in an idyllic setting.

A choice of courses are on offer, from how to use French plasterboard and skim it with French plaster, to courses using more traditional Lime based plasters.  One course uses the addition of Hemp into a lime plaster mix where the hemp acts as an aggregate, strengthener AND insulation, and can be left as a decorative finish with the hemp fiber exposed.

With budgets being stretched and more and more people taking on renovation projects rather than moving, now might be the perfect time to get some hands-on training and pick up the skills and knowledge for oneself.

About LearnToPlasterInFrance.com
Having relocated to the French Pyrenees from Sheffield in 2007, Learn to Plaster In France owner Sean Marshall spent 3 years working with different French plasters and learning and developing different techniques before deciding to resume his old profession and start to teach plastering again.

In Spring 2011 the 100m2 premises which house the training centre were converted allowing groups of up to ten at a time to learn along side each other, with courses running from August - November and March - May each year.

Previously courses had been open to smaller numbers and occasionally at client’s own premises.
