MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - When it opened in June, Tennessee Hemp Supply in Murfreesboro became the first hemp dispensary in Tennessee. Since its doors opened, it's helped pave the way for other hemp and CBD stores to open.
“Taking CBD boosts the endocannabinoid system which promotes healthy cell functioning through the central nervous system,” Trinity Mealor said.
Mealor is the dispensary owner and expert on all things hemp and CBD. “We can educate them on CBD. We can educate them on the benefits of CBD and the wellness this plant provides,” he explained.
So far, their customers seem to love what the products do for them. "I feel very relaxed. Usually I do a lot of physical work. I'm usually tensed up all the time. I actually feel loose," said one customer.
However, users beware. While CBD products contain less than .3 percent of THC, it will show up on a drug test.
“Everyone processes and stores cannabinoids differently," Mealor explained.
There are CBD products, however, that do not have any THC in them at all. "They're CBD isolate," said Mealor. “It’ll provide you with the same anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety.”
While alternatives do exist, Mealor also has this advice. “We absolutely tell every one of our customers this: if you have a drug test, don’t chance it. You don’t know how you store it,” Mealor explained.
