DESCRIPTION
Join us at the Industrial Hemp Field Day to learn more about industrial hemp research being undertaken in Tasmania.
The Field Day will focus on a current research collaboration between TIA and Ecofibre Industries exploring the opportunity to produce high yielding low-THC industrial hemp varieties for Tasmania's climate.
It is hoped this research will provide a tangible alternative outcome for Tasmania’s agriculture industry.
The Field Day is co-hosted by the Industrial Hemp Association of Tasmania (IHAT) and includes a free lunch thanks to NRM North.
The day will include presentations about the current research and an opportunity to view the trial site. Guest presenters will also provide an overview of licencing and legislation relevant to the industry, and there will be an opportunity to hear the perspective of a Tasmanian industrial hemp grower.
