Hemp Industries Association 2014 Conference and Lobby Day


This Sunday and upcoming Monday, Washington DC will be hosting the 2014 Hemp Industries Association 2014 Conference and annual Lobby Day. This event begins at 8 am on Sunday morning, with the actual conference running from 9am to 6 pm on Sunday, September 21st, 2014. There will be a dinner on Sunday, but the location has yet to be announced.
There are some very well-regarded speakers presenting at the conference, including the keynote speaker,  Doug Fine, author of Hemp Bound. Additional speakers will include John W. Roulac from NutivaGeorge Weiblen, a cannabis genetics researcher from the University of Minnesota, Patrick Goggin and Eric Steenstra from Vote Hemp, Christina Volgyesi, the Director of Marketing for Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, and a CBD panel, including Tamar Wise, B. Chem, MCBD at Nutrawerx, Martin Lee, Director at Project CBD, and Michel Stoltz, CEO at New Bauhaus.
On Monday, September 22nd, those attending the conference will have the chance to participate in the Lobby Day effort, wherein participants make appointments with and speak to their national representatives about the importance of hemp legalization and the establishment of domestic hemp production. The event will take place at the Phoenix Park Hotel in DC. Online reservations via the HIA website are no longer available, so interested parties should call the hotel directly for room availability. The group rate discount is no longer available at this time.
