Oklahoma will play host to one of the largest hemp festivals in the United States, according to organizers.
Scott McKinley, who helped develop the original Hemp Fest in Seattle, says the Oklahoma festival will be second only to the original. And teams are working to make the inaugural performance in Oklahoma over the top.
"The first year we did Hemp Fest in Seattle we had just a few hundred people in attendance, now we are doing over 30,000 people a day! We want to make Oklahoma’s inaugural hemp fest over the top!” McKinley said. “With thousands wanting free tickets, projected attendance for the three days will be over 45,000 people!”
The three-day festival kicks off September 7th at Lost Lakes on NE 10th in Oklahoma City. Officials say more than 100 vendors from across the U.S. will be on hand to show the different uses of hemp. There will also be live events and music, headlined by Snoop Dogg.
Tickets are available on the Hemp Fest website. You can get free tickets by giving your name, phone number, zip code and email address.
