Italians lead foreign contingent to NoCo Hemp Expo

Seven Italian hemp producers will have products in HempToday’s HempBoutique popup showroom at NoCo Hemp Expo Friday and Saturday, April 6-7, in Loveland, Colorado, USA.

Rachele Invernizzi, Federation President and President at SouthHemp Tecno srl, one of Italy’s leading hemp processors, is representing Federcanapa at NoCo.

For small, innovative producers

Ten other companies from as far away as Nepal and South Africa, along with European vendors from Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and France also will have products in the HempBoutique, situated in the Global Hemp Village section on the Expo floor.
The Boutique aims to give small, specialized producers a chance to get their products and innovations exposure in the fast-growing U.S. market, said Hana Gabrielová of Czech-based Hempoint, who is leading the HempBoutique supplier group.

International panel is set

Both Gabrielová and Invernizzi also will sit on the HempToday international panel set to run 3:20 to 4:05 p.m. Friday on the NoCo Mainstage, moderated by HempToday. The finalized panel:
Kelly Knutson/USA-Europe is an entrepreneur focused on equipment manufacturing and next generation technology development. He is a highly talented fabricator and designer with a broad understanding of technology and ability to collaborate across many industries. As the founder and CEO of Isolate Extraction Systems Inc. (“IES”) he was able to create a leading product and brand within the supercritical extraction industry. Before IES Kelly and the other founders of Keef Cola, developed the production systems, operating procedures, and formulation of infused beverages.
Rachele Invernizzi/Italy, president at SouthHemp Tecno srl, a processor in Crispiano Taranto in southern Italy. She guided the development of a decortication factory that went on line in 2015, and her company incubates new hemp businesses. Invernizzi also is a founding partner of Federcanapa, the Italian federation that backs hemp initiatives throughout Italy’s regions and which last year organized a first international hemp expo and seminar, Salone Internazionale della Canapa in Milan.
Hana Gabrielova/Czech Republic, European hemp veteran and founder and CEO at Hempoint, Czech Republic, a vertically integrated organic hemp farmer and food innovator and one of Europe’s leading hemp consultancies. Gabrielova works directly with local farmers and contractors in creating a constantly evolving line of hemp food products from farm to shelf. She is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Agriculture as an adviser in organic farming with a specialization in hemp. She also serves the International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute (ICCI) on matters related to Patient Focused Certification (PFC) standards for cannabis.
Dhiraj K. Shah/Nepal is a co-founder with his wife Nivedita of Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures (SHIV), Kathmandu. The couple returned from Europe to Shah’s native Nepal following the massive 2015 earthquake and immediately began processing straw from hemp “wildcrop” for use in building hempcrete homes for the country’s impoverished “untouchables.” The company has since expanded into a number of hemp products in health & beauty and textiles. Through the company’s “hEmpowering Bottom Up” initiative, SHIV works to advance economic and social development among Nepalese women.
Harshaavardhan Redi Sirupa/India is a serial entrepreneur and business strategist who serves as Managing Partner at Namrata Hemp Company (NHCO), based in Bangalore, India. NHCO is working toward the mass cultivation of Industrial Hemp in India and various manufacturing opportunities. Harshaavardhan has nearly a decade’s experience in business consultation and operations, having worked previously as Chief Operating Officer at Diya Business Consulting, Bangalore. In 2007, he founded KnowPro Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a KPO a specialist in retail solutions and cancer therapies based on stem cell research. He holds an MBA in Global Business Strategy from Dowling College, New York.
Kehrt Reyher (Moderator), is founder of HempToday, and co-founder of the Nakło Foundation, both based in Poland. The Foundation supports environmental protection, entrepreneurship and green industry thought leadership globally; and historical preservation, economic development and tourism at the local level. Reyher is founder and past President, CEO and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VFP Communications, a Warsaw-based B2B media company. A former European Bureau Chief for Smart Grid Today, he previously worked in the USA as a business editor at The Providence Journal, The Detroit News and USA Today.
