Freitag

Jeans without residues: after introducing its first 100% biodegradable range of hemp and linen fabrics (F-Abric) and a respective apparel range a year ago, Zurich-based bags brand Freitag is now extending its fashion offer by compostable denims.

The F-Abric denim is made in Europe using locally sourced bast fibers, made up of 81% linen and 19% hemp. To ensure a complete compost ability, the jeans come without rivets or polyester threads and use customizable metal buttons that can be unscrewed and reused.  The two five-pocket models (a 19 oz. version for men and a 17 oz. version for women) have a classic cut, selvedge seams and are available in dark blue and black.

The E500 Male Denim is on sale now in the F-Abric online store as well as at selected Freitag stores and resellers such as VMC in Zurich, Magazin in Stuttgart, Fratelli Posti in Rome, Centre Commercial in Paris, Six and Sons in Amsterdam or IN Namba Parks in Osaka, Japan. The E100 Female Denim will hit stores in October 2015. Retail prices are CHF 240 resp. EUR 190, USD 245 or GBP 180.
