Producer Fields Yield Mixed Results

Source: cjob.com

The fall harvest is still wrapping up across Southern Manitoba with mixed results.

In it's weekly crop report,  Manitoba Agriculture says spring cereal acres were down in the Southwest because of wet conditions and late seeding.

Hemp yields in the Northwest are 600 to 800 pounds per acre with seed size and quality very good.

Canola yields were disappointing for many in the Central Region.

The grain corn harvest is 50-percent complete in the Eastern Region.

In the Interlake,  soybean yields are below average, but winter wheat crops are in good condition.
