Going Green! The Ein Hod Hemp House By The Tav Group

Through the years we have seen some interesting and eye-catching designs, especially in the world of ‘green’ living. Well, today we get a look at a home that puts a whole new meaning to a ‘green’ design. The Ein Hod Hemp House By The Tav Group is located in Israel and features quite an intriguing build. The ground floor is constructed from local stone found only during the excavation of the site.



The upper level is formed by using a mixture of hydraulic lime and cannabis. This material is not just lightweight, but also provides great insulation for the home. The natural based plaster and rammed earth walls provide the interior while a wood beam ceiling tops things off. The structure also boasts solar panels, passive air conditioning, and a rainwater collection system to take the ‘green’ allure even further.
