WINCHESTER, Ky. (Nov. 13, 2017) — Andrew R. Graves, Chairman of Atalo Holdings, a hemp production and processing company in Winchester, Ky. will join former CIA Director James Woosley, Hemp Industries Association President, Colleen Keahey, NoCo Hemp Expo Founder Morris Beagle and others on a Webinar about the emerging agricultural hemp industry, hosted by Hemp Business Journal of Denver, Colo.

“Hemp Business Journal predicts the total U.S. hemp industry in 2017 will be almost a billion dollar in retail sales growing at nearly a 30% annual growth rate,” said Sean Murphy, founder and publisher of Hemp Business Journal. “2018 will be a critical year in the growth and emergence of this new American industry, especially in agricultural-focused states like Kentucky. We’re excited to host Atalo Holdings – joined by other industry leaders and innovators – to provide insights, analysis and market intelligence on what hemp industry stakeholders should expect and need to know to capitalize on upcoming market opportunities in 2018.”

Woolsey, former director of the CIA, and also a member of the North American Industrial Hemp Council, will keynote the webinar, “The State of Hemp: Industry Leaders Speak,” which will be available free on Tuesday Nov. 14 from 1-2 p.m. EST. Several of the hemp industry’s top thought leaders and innovators will discuss where the U.S. hemp industry is going in 2018, legislative and lobbying efforts, and issues of scaling and capacity.

“For the past three years, Atalo has been focused on creating a sustainable and scalable agricultural model based on careful selection of cultivars, innovative agronomics and the practice and patience of our Kentucky Growers’ Group, which is one of a kind,” said Atalo Chairman Andrew Graves. “This foundation in research and development creates the opportunity to scale up production dramatically to meet what appears to be exploding growth. We look forward to participating with former director Woosley in this forum.”
