• Groups to Lobby for Industrial Hemp Use in VA

RICHMOND, Va (WVIR) -Virginia is moving closer to legalizing industrial hemp in the commonwealth.

On Tuesday, the House of Delegates unanimously voted in favor of HB 1277.

Supporters say it would be a tremendous opportunity for economic growth and research.

Now it's up to the Senate to take a vote on the proposed law.

The measure heads to Governor Terry McAuliffe's desk if it is approved by both houses.
